The Woodford Symphony Orchestra organises regular String Workshops with an aim to provide local string players with an opportunity to explore the string orchestra repertoire in a relaxed environment.
We also regularly do easy concertos or pieces with solos to allow players the opportunity of performing while being accompanied by a string orchestra.
These events are scheduled normally once a term for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in Wansted. Generous time is allowed for socialising over the all-important tea-break.. biscuits and (more often than not) scones provided.
Fees for attending are kept as low as possible, normally only covering the cost of the hall hire and the orchestra underwrites additional costs.
