Details of our Spring concert have now been released and for the eco-minded among you here is an electronic copy of the Flyer.
This term we will be playing the Beethoven Violin Concerto, with Soloist Andrew Winter and Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 1.
Little known fact… Louise Farrenc was the first woman to become Professor of Piano at the Paris Conservatory and despite the rampant inequality of the time, demanded and received the same pay as her male counterparts.
More background on the pieces can be found in the Upcoming Events page.
New String Workshop Dates 2026

The February string workshop has been and gone. Feedback so far was that it was thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and not just because of the scones.
We have one last string workshop this season on Sunday 10th May.
If you are interested in attending you can contact Rosemary at leader@wsorchestra.org.uk
Further details can be found here.
